Carmel is a co-owner at DonCar Hospitality Management Services, a renowned management firm specializing in destination sales and marketing services. DonCar’s expertise spans across a diverse range of sectors, including vacation rentals, attractions, hotels, and hospitality consulting services. With a keen eye for reviving distressed businesses and a strong background in hotel sales and real estate, Carmel brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table.

Prior to her role at DonCar, Carmel served as the Director of Marketing Services for The Grand Bahama Island Tourism/Promotion Board from 2014 to 2018. She continued to contribute her expertise as a Marketing Consultant for the organization from September 2018 to July 2023. During her tenure, she also held the position of Chairperson of the Marketing Committee, showcasing her leadership and strategic capabilities.

Carmel boasts an impressive career in the hospitality industry, amassing over 22 years of valuable experience. Her educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, complemented by management certifications earned from prestigious institutions such as Howard University and James Madison University.

With her extensive knowledge of Grand Bahama Island, Carmel serves as a valuable resource for visitors and investors alike. She can effortlessly guide individuals through the island's diverse landscape, offering insights into must-visit destinations, local attractions, and the intricacies of the vibrant local culture.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Carmel has actively contributed to the community. She has held positions as a past Secretary and Director of the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce, demonstrating her commitment to fostering local business growth.

Carmel's personal life is just as fulfilling as her professional one. She is happily married to Donald Churchill of Ontario, Canada, and they take immense pride in their 27-year-old son, Kenroy Alexander. Together, they form a close-knit and accomplished family unit.
