Mrs. Babb-Higgs has dedicated the past seven years to serving the University of The Bahamas, where she has been a champion for Bahamian excellence and higher education. She has made significant contributions to alumni affairs and institutional advancement, notably founding the Development and Alumni Affairs Office at UB North. Under her leadership, the office raised over $1.5 million in donations and grants over a three-year period.

Currently, Mrs. Babb-Higgs serves as the Executive Director of the UB IGNITE project and Director of Government Relations & Civic Engagement. In these roles, she collaborates with university leadership, advises on policy, and forges strategic partnerships with key national and international stakeholders. Her dedication to transformative initiatives is reflected in her leadership, including securing a $500,000 IDB grant to launch the UB IGNITE project.
